​Service Technician – Job Opportunity

​Version 2 are a leading entertainment rental lighting company. Working alongside some of the industry’s most prominent Lighting Designers. Version 2 services a broad range of productions, including The Traitors, Britain’s Got Talent and the The Jonathan Ross Show.

A position is now available for a Service Technician, responsible for diagnosing and repairing various mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment to maintain the hire inventory in optimal condition.

The role is primarily bench-based, involving hands-on work with equipment. Additionally, the technician will oversee the specification and procurement of spare parts, manage warranty claims, and coordinate external repair services.

We encourage applications from individuals with backgrounds in electronics or mechanics, even if they ​h​ave no previous lighting industry​ experience. Ongoing product-specific training will be provided to ensure proficiency.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Due to the nature of the broadcast and events industry there may be occasional requirements for out-of-hours support and overtime.
